The 24-year-old Dennis has returned to the Premier League from Watford, who were relegated last season.
He netted 10 goals and provided six assists in 33 appearances in the Premier League last season.
Dennis, who has won seven full international caps with Nigeria, reportedly cost around 20 Million Pounds a year after Watford bought him from Belgian champions Club Brugge for 3.5 Million Pounds.
He has teamed up with fellow Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi, who was signed from Bundesliga club Union Berlin also this summer.
Goals by the Nigeria stars are expected to keep the newly-promoted afloat in the Premier League this season.
Forest have signed over a dozen players in deals worth more than 100 Million Pounds on their return to the English top league after a 23-year absence.
