Former International Emmanuel Emenike has debuted for his Belgian second-tier league team Westerlo almost two years after his last official game.
Westerlo won 2-0 win at KSV Roeselare with the 32-year-old striker introduced in the 86th minute as a replacement for Christian Bruls.
His last official game before this was recorded as being on October 28, 2017, for Olympiacos at Panathinaikos in Greece.
Emenike signed for Westerlo as a free agent till the end of the season and said the top target is to get them back to the Belgian top flight.
The AFCON 2013 highest goals scorer has played for Las Palmas (Spain), Olympiacos (Greece), Fenerbahce, Karabukspor (Turkey), West ham United (England) and Al Ain (UAE).
He has won 37 caps for the Super Eagles, scoring nine goals.
Westerlo are third on the table with 16 points from eight matches, three points behind leaders OH Leuven, who now occupy the automatic promotion playoffs spot.
