In a touch of humour, the Antwerp club posted on Twitter a picture of photo-shoped picture of Eleke pulling away ‘Ever Given’ with a caption – ‘Don’t worry world. We got this!’
Big, strong striker Eleke, 25, joined Beerschot at the start of this season from Swtzerland.
He has scored a goal in 16 league appearances this season.
And when the ship was moved out of way, Beerschot further tweeted, “Job done. You are welcome.”
