Emmanuel Ekong has insisted he is undeterred with his limited game time at Swedish club Malmo, vowing to fight on.
Ekong, son of former Super Eagles star Prince Ikpe Ekong, has struggled for regular first-team action since he returned to Sweden from Italian Serie A club Empoli.
He only returned to action after a knee injury in mid-May.
“That’s the way it is. It’s clear that you want to play, every player wants to. But I’m here in Malmö and have a contract here so I just have to fight on,” Ekong maintained.
“I have 3.5 years left on my contract so I’m just going to keep going every day.
“Football moves fast, things change quickly. You can come out of nowhere and play, or something else can happen. But I’m going to keep going.”
Malmo sports director Philip Berglund said earlier this week that there is interest for the striker.
