Philip Ejimadu, who has pledged his international allegiance to Nigeria, has been nominated for the Save of the Year Award 2019 in the United Soccer League, the second-tier league in the USA.
The big goalkeeper, who missed the U23 AFCON in Egypt due to the play offs with MLS side Los Angeles FC, won the USL Save of the Month for April and August and he is now in for the big one.
He will battle Pablo Jara, Akira Fizgerald and Ryan Coulter.
He played on loan at USL side FC Tucson from MLS side Los Angeles FC.
He is also eligible to represent Brazil through his mother and has won three caps for USA at U20 level in 2018.
