Dribbling star Chidera Ejuke could stage another Super Eagles comeback, SCORENigeria has learnt.
The Sevilla right winger was considered for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe before Nathan Tella (Bayer Leverkusen) and Samuel Chukwueze (AC Milan) made the final cut.
Tella will later withdraw from the squad due to injury and a defender, Jordan Torunarigha, was called up in his place.
After an absence of almost two years, Ejuke was recalled to the Eagles by Augustine Eguavoen for the final 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Libya in October 2024, but did not see action.
A hamstring injury in action for his La Liga club subsequently sidelined him.
“He has to be playing more regularly for his club to return to the team,” a top team source told SCORENigeria while hinting on a possible recall for the winger.
Ejuke has so far made 19 appearances for Sevilla but mostly as a substitute (11).
