Katsina United star midfielder Destiny Ashadi has declared that he will prefer to see off his contract with the club rather than take up offers from champions Enyimba and Kano Pillars.
The former Kogi Star told SCORENigeria: “I think the best thing for me now is to finish my contradct with Katsina United. I have one more season with the club and I think the best decision for me at this point is to finish the contract and become a free player next season.
“Yes, the three continental teams are actually talking to my representative on a possible transfer but things are not working out yet.”
The Lagos born mercurial midfielder went further to say he is not in a rush to leave Katsina United
“If I want to leave Katsina United, I know the best step to take, but I am not in a rush and I don’t want to force my way out of the club,” he said.
“I still have a running contract with the club which I must respect as a professional player.
“I am presently in Lagos enjoying my holiday with my family and my representatives have not briefed me about any possible transfer to another club. Once the holidays are over, I will resume with Katsina United.”
The central midfielder has been capped by the CHAN Eagles.
