With a price tag of six million Euros, Super Eagles new boy Cyriel Dessers is “too expensive” for Genk to sign and partner him in attack with another Nigeria star, Paul Onuachu.
Dessers, whose father is Belgian and mother Nigerian, finished top scorer of the aborted Dutch league with 15 goals for Heracles.
Genk had hoped to could get the striker back to Belgium, but they can only afford around five million Euros for him at a time of many uncertainties caused by the Coronavirus Pandemic.
According to HetNieuwsblad, both Genk and Heracles have yet to reach an agreement because their valuations of the player are far apart.
Dessers, 25, has also been linked with Turkish champions Galatasaray as well as Torino in the Italian Serie A.
