Cyriel Dessers hit target twice for Genk to fight back and beat Dutch club MVV Maastricht in a final test game ahead of Friday’s league in Belgium.
Dessers inspired a Genk comeback after the restart with two goals for a mainly second-string side.
The striker was a second-half replacement for fellow Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu in Sunday’s Belgium Super Cup, which Genk lost 3-2 to champions Club Brugge.
On Friday, Genk will battle Standard Liege in the opening game of the new season.
