Cyriel Dessers has said he hopes to score more goals in Serie A after he hit target in his last two matches for struggling US Cremonese.
The Super Eagles striker has so far scored against Napoli and Spezia.
He said he can score more goals to prove he can succeed in Italy after playing in Belgium and Holland.
“I want to prove it (succeed in Serie A) in the coming weeks,” he told Het Belang van Limburg.
“We have had some tough fixtures, we have already played against all top clubs and then it is difficult for a striker to make much of a difference.”
Dessers he has come close several times to opening his goals account before he finally did so in Week 9.
“I have been close,” he said.
“Against AS Roma I hit the crossbar, against Sassuolo a goal was rejected by the VAR for me being five centimeters offside.
“So scoring against Napoli was very rewarding, especially because it was the equaliser. You celebrate that a lot more than the honour saver with a 4-0 deficit.
“Hopefully, after my second goal in a row, the train has completely set off.”
Cremonese are second from bottom and will today welcome bottom club Sampdoria in continuation of the league.
A home win will boost their chances of survival.
After Sampdoria, Cremonese will face Udinese and Salernitana in Serie A.
