Cyriel Dessers will be one of several call-ups who will not report in time to the Super Eagles camp ahead of World Cup qualifiers due to completing a transfer from his club.
The Eagles camp opened today in Uyo, while Dessers is expected in Athens tomorrow to finalise his transfer to Panathinaikos from Scottish giants Rangers.
Gazzetta.gr reported that Panathinaikos had reached an agreement with Rangers for the transfer of Cyril Dessers, with the transfer fee surpassing five million euros.
The club offered a substantial contract to the Nigerian striker.
The agreement was made to address the vacancy left by Fotis Ioannidis, and Dessers was regarded as a prolific scorer who had made a significant impact in both domestic and European competitions over the past two years with Rangers.
