Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers is closing in on a transfer to Serie A club Cremonese.
Dessers and his representatives have already visited Italy and the striker is tempted by the move.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, talks between Genk and Cremonese are progressing well and the deal could be finalised in the coming days.
Last season, Dessers was top scorer with 10 goals in the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League as Dutch giants Feyenoord lost in the final to AS Roma.
He was on loan to Feyenoord, who did not take up the option of a permanent switch for the centre-forward.
At the weekend, Dessers got off to a flying start by scoring for Genk in a Belgian league opener at champions Club Brugge.
However, Genk eventually lost 3-2 to Club Brugge.
