Lagos-born Arnaut Danjuma could consider changing his international allegiance to play for the Super Eagles even after playing two friendlies for Holland.
Danjuma has been outstanding for Bournemouth so much so he is one of the main reasons they could soon head back to the Premier League this season.
“I’ve heard about Nigeria, but I can’t say much about it right now,” the 24-year-old forward told Bournemouth Echo.
He has played two friendlies for Orange – against Belgium and Germany – and so a switch is still possible.
“I would still like to represent the Netherlands , but I am not being called up at the moment. Maybe I should make another choice,” he revealed.
“The rules have changed, so it is still possible. This is not a decision that you make in a split second. I have to take my time.”
However, Danjuma maintained his main focus is lifting Bournemouth back to the Premier League.
“The club is the most important now. I want to be sure of the return to the Premier League first (Bournemouth are fifth in the English Championship, ed.). What happens to the national team is now on the second plan,” he said.
