Those close and familiar with the negotiations concerning the transfer of Flying Eagles star midfielder Daniel Daga have described them as “very complicated”.
The talks have been so difficult that Milan rivals, AC Milan and Inter Milan, have pulled out of the race to sign Daga.
Daga shone at the recent U20 World Cup in Argentina, but the highly-rated defensive midfielder will only be 17 on January 10, 2024.
He will therefore still be a minor next year and as such cannot sign a professional contract in Europe till he is 18.
The demands of his club FC One Rocket have also scared away many suitors.
“The negotiations have been very complicated,” a source informed SCORENigeria
“They were made even more difficult by the fact that any interested club will have another two years to wait as the boy will only be 18 in 2025.
“In addition, his club made all sorts of demands, some of which tested the patience of the negotiating clubs.”
SCORENigeria further understood that whenever a deal is agreed with any of the interested clubs, it will break many records.
