My critical role in the ongoing reconciliation process of the players’ union delayed this response to NFF president Amaju Pinnick’s recent live session on Instagram.
Amaju Pinnick referred to my group in the front line for the struggle for reforms and recovery of looted funds from our football treasury as ” misguided and mischievous members of the football family bandying around ficticious and outlandish figures” as having been misappropriated by his leadership.
And further branded us as purveyors of half-truths and outright fictions”.
Pinnick has temporarily deviated from his usual mantra that we are creating a toxic environment.
His subtle appeal to the media to shun our patriotic call that funds meant for football development in the country should not be diverted into private pockets leaves much to be desired.
Pinnick, whose fingers remain permanently in the NFF cookie jar, the same man who shut down the mainstream media in conjunction with his crowned prince Shehu Dikko and who is now complaining of negative publicity?
In a clime where the sports media is alive to its responsibility, the Amaju Pinnick board would not have survived six months.
The media is the most potent tool for change. In the Nigeria Football scenario apart from a tiny sector the WATCH DOG is dead and buried.
A situation of anything goes, our sports Journalism have failed, the watch dog didn’t only die, something worse happened to – it became a lap dog, it became part of the problem.
It now makes excuses for Inept and poor leadership, it covers and honours rogue NFF officials and continues to celebrate mediocrity in the Pinnick-led administration.
The group I (HARRISON JALLA) leads do all its investigation with precision and we have been coming out with hard and uncontroverted facts of alleged diversion of several Billions of Naira and millions of United States Dollars under Pinnick’s watch and we are able, willing and ready to substantiate and defend our allegations.
It is the conspiracy of the mainstream media that has sustained Amaju Pinnick’s board in office, they sold their conscience as accomplices to destroy Nigeria football.
The attached letter is from the Ghana Football Association, the letter speaks for itself.
While Pinnick is concealing information on revenue accruing from sponsors, FIFA, CAF, FG, and state governments and warehousing public funds with Financial Derivatives with his right hand and stealing with his left hand through Shehu Dikko’s Mediterranean Sports Limited.
