Some argued that the Super Eagles striker was more deserving of the MVP award, while others said his Napoli teammate was statistically better and the award was based on the numbers.

Osimhen, 24, is the leading scorer in Serie A with 25 goals, which helped Napoli to win their first Scudetto in 33 years with five rounds of matches to spare.
He was named the best striker of the top Italian league.
Interestingly, while the Super Eagles striker made the Serie A Team of the Season, Kvaratskhelia did not.
Georgia international Kvaratskhelia netted 12 goals and provided 13 assists in 33 games.
Rafael Leao of Milan scooped the prestigious MVP award last season.
Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti was named Coach of the Season.
