The Golden Eaglets coach Fatai Amoo has said he is pleased his team took their chances to beat a selected team 6-1 in their first test game since they opened training camp in Abuja.
“The good thing from the match is that we took our chances and we won,” Amoo said after the match played at the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja.
“We hope to build on this as we continue to prepare for the U17 AFCON qualifiers.
Amoo assured they have learnt from the Flying Eagles shock elimination from the U20 AFCON qualifiers in Benin Republic.
“We saw that the Flying Eagles did not take the many chances they created and that they conceded fouls around their goal,” the Eaglets coach said.
“We have taken note of these points and we will make sure we don’t make such mistakes.”
The Eaglets will next month battle Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire also in Benin in the U17 AFCON qualifiers.
