Belgian champions Club Brugge could well be planning to offload David Okereke as he has yet to justify the record eight million Euros they paid for him two seasons ago.
Okereke was bought as a top striker from Italian club Spezia and ended up with nine goals last season.
He has since been converted to a right winger after his goals dried up towards the end of last season.
Last month, Club Brugge bought a new striker Bas Dost and also took Noa Lang on loan from Ajax and they have delivered to further compound the problems of Okereke.
The emergence of youngster Ignace Van der Brempt through the youth ranks has now added to the woes of the Nigeria star.
Club Brugge want to fast track the development of Van der Brempt, 18, and the departure of Okereke will go a long well to help in this regard.
This season, 23-year-old Okereke has only played a bit role – four goals in 22 appearances – as Club Brugge look set to successfully defend their Belgian championship.
