Samuel Chukwueze was again at his best with two well-crafted assists for Villarreal CF to beat UD Almeria 2-0 on the road.
The lively Chukwueze did some great work on the right wing for Gerald Moreno to open scoring after 76 minutes.
Villarreal then doubled their advantage three minutes from full time and again it was the Super Eagles winger who created it when he set up Jose Luis Morales to finish off superbly.
Villarreal have now climbed to seventh in the La Liga standings with 34 points from 23 matches, same as sixth-placed Rayo Vallecano, who are within the bracket for European football action next season.
On Thursday they will be guests of Anderlecht in the UEFA Europa Conference League Round of 16 first leg match in Belgium.
