Samuel Chukwueze has said passionate AC Milan fans got him to sign for the Serie A giants.
Chukwueze has signed a five-year contract with Milan after six years in Spain with Villarreal CF.
The transfer is worth 20 Million Euros with additional eight Million Euros in add-ons.
“It was a great feeling when I heard AC Milan wanted to sign me, I was a little bit nervous,” Chukwueze opened up on his transfer.
“When I was told about the interest of Milan, I thought it was a joke, but when they sent me the draft contract.
“I didn’t think twice (about the transfer) because Milan are an amazing club with a lot of history.
“I need to make another step in my career. I spent six years in Spain, I keep learning and now this is the most important step to develop me more.
“The fans sent me messages on Instagram asking me to come to AC Milan, they are amazing and they are the ones who actually asked me to come.
“I can’t wait for the fans to chant my name and score many goals wearing the AC Milan shirt.”
Close friend and Super Eagles teammate Victor Osimhen also encouraged him to join Milan.
Chukwueze will play in jersey No 21.
