Super Eagles stars Samuel Chukwueze and Maduka Okoye will be among 20 African players who miss action in the Italian Serie A for this year’s AFCON, which will kick off in Morocco in December.
The list of African stars to miss several weeks of action in Serie A has as many as four players of the Super Eagles – Ademola Lookman (Atalanta), Fisayo Dele-Bashiru (Lazio), Chukwueze (AC Milan), Maduka Okoye (Udinese) and David Okereke (Cremonese), who has yet to be capped at full international level.
AFCON hosts Morocco could account for as many as five players, same as defending champions Cote d’Ivoire.
