Chuba Akpom now looks set to join Ajax after Ligue 1 club RC Lens pulled out of the chase for the Middlesbrough star striker.
Both Ajax and Lens have tabled a bid worth 10 Million Pounds for Akpom and Middlesbrough agreed both bids and it was left for the player to decide his preference.
Akpom has only a year left on his contract with ‘Boro and he could move as a free agent at the end of the new season.
He has previously played outside England, in Greece and Belgium.
