Chuba Akpom scores New Year goal in 4-goal thriller

Chuba Akpom scored his first goal of the New Year for Ajax to draw 2-2 with German Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart in a friendly.

Stuttgart got off to a flying start as they led 2-0 after only 20 minutes.

Chuba Akpom was one of the second half subs and salvaged the draw with his team’s second goal five minutes from time.

The former Arsenal ace has been a subject of a transfer in this window because he said he wishes to play as a centre-forward.
