Former Super Falcons captain Desire Oparanozie and Chinwendu Ihezuo have been ruled out of next month’s WAFCON title defence because of Covid-19 restrictions imposed at their base in China.
Oparanozie was set for her fifth WAFCON, while fellow striker Ihezuo made her tournament debut in Ghana four years ago.
The Super Falcons have since replaced Oparanozie with Anamo Imo, while Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene has taken the place of Ihezuo.
The WAFCON in Morocco will also serve as qualifiers for the World Cup in New Zealand and Australia.
