Mikel Obi has said Chelsea only need to put through a phone call to Victor Osimhen to sign him this summer.
Osimhen will quit Napoli in the summer and former Chelsea star Mikel has expressed confidence the red-hot striker could be heading to Stamford Bridge.
It would be a great shame if we didn’t get this player who has been a Chelsea supporter since childhood and wants to play for us,” Mikel said on The Obi One Podcast.
“His idol is Didier Drogba. He will want to break records, win titles, take us back to the top and beat Drogba’s record. That would be his goal.”
Mikel said the transfer is in hands of Chelsea.
“If Chelsea decide not to invest in him, sure. Good luck. But we can literally pick up the phone and get him in. We should,” he urged.
