The Super Falcons earned $1 Million for winning the 2024 WAFCON in Morocco and the CHAN Eagles now stand to win $3.5 Million as prize money should they also win the 2024 CHAN in East Africa.
Nigeria are yet to win the CHAN, coming close in 2016, when they lost the final to hosts Morocco.
The CHAN is reserved for players who feature in their domestic leagues and the 2024 edition delayed by other major competitions will kick off on August 2 and will be hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
Nigeria are drawn in Group D along with defending champions Senegal, Congo and Sudan.
They open their campaign on August 5 against Senegal in Zanzibar.
