SCORENigeria has learnt that it will be straight fight between skipper Ahmed Musa and Kelechi Iheanacho for who will start on the left side of attack against Sierra Leone today.
This is following the absence of Bordeaux winger Samuel Kalu and FC Nantes forward Moses Simon on account of injury.
Iheanacho has been the more active of the two having played last week in the UEFA Europa League, where he scored twice for Leicester City.
He may not have enjoyed a decent run in the Premier League no thanks to the form of Jamie Vardy, but he has continued to show class in the cup games as well as in Europe for ‘The Foxes’.
Ahmed Musa, on the other hand, last played for Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr on October 22 in a league game.
He has since parted ways with the Riyadh club.
He is aiming for his 94th cap to inch closer to a century of matches for Nigeria.
SCORENigeria checks show that Joe Aribo, Oghenekaro Etebo will be the defensive pivots in the midfield with Everton ace Alex Iwobi playing ahead of them behind the top striker.
