Ike Ugbo, who has opted to play for Canada ahead of the Super Eagles, could now make his debut after he was called up for 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Costa Rica and Mexico.
Genk striker Ugbo, who has represented England at age-grade levels, looked set to change his international allegiance to Nigeria before a dramatic u-turn for Canada, where he spent his early childhood.
Canada are third in the qualifiers, four points behind leaders Mexico.
They face Costa Rica on November 13 and four days later they square up against Mexico.
