Injured Calvin Bassey has left the Super Eagles training camp in Morocco to return to Premier League club Fulham.
An undisclosed injury kept the 23-year-old defender out of the Eagles first friendly against Ghana and he will not feature in Tuesday’s second test game against Mali after he returned to England Saturday.
“Bassey has returned to England due to injury,” an official told SCORENigeria
Bassey was outstanding at the recent AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire.
The Super Eagles under interim coach Finidi George take on the Eagles of Mali Tuesday night to round up their international break in Morocco.
