Rivers United today got their CAF Confederation Cup group stage campaign off to a losing start when they fell 3-0 at Diables Noirs of Congo Brazzaville.
The NPFL champions are thus bottom of Group B after ASEC Mimosas of Cote d’Ivoire played out a scoreless draw at home with Motema Pembe from DR Congo.
Rivers United will hope to get their campaign back on track when they welcome ASEC next week in continuation of the competition.
