Burkina Faso have replaced the Golden Eaglets as WAFU B U17 champions after they beat Cote d’Ivoire 3-1 tonight.
They have qualified for next year’s U17 AFCON along with beaten finalists Cote d’Ivoire, who will host the U17 AFCON.
As a result of hosting the next U17 AFCON, Cote d’Ivoire have freed another slot for a team from WAFU B to also reach the final tournament.
The Golden Eaglets won the third-place playoffs against hosts Ghana 3-2 to join the qualifiers from this sub-region.
