Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen plan to give Victor Boniface an improved contract so as to keep away the clubs hot on his chase.
The 23-year-old striker still has a contract with Leverkusen until June 2028.
However, according to Bild, they now plan to extend this contract with improved terms by at least an additional year.
Lately, the striker was linked with Premier League giants Manchester United as one of several strikers they are looking at to sign.
He is currently sidelined by a thigh injury that could keep him out of action until the New Year.
