Bulgarian club Botev Plovdiv have so far rejected several offers for former Golden Eaglets star Samuel Akere, who is described as “a rocket winger” because of his explosive style.
Plovdiv rejected improved bids from Belgian clubs Gent and Standard Liege as well as top Czech club Sparta Praha.
Standard initially bidded 600,000 Euros for Akere, before they stepped that up to 800,000 Euros including bonuses for games played by the player for the Belgian club.
Club Brugge are also now reported interested in signing the left-footed player, who has netted 13 goals and made 11 assists in 85 appearances.
Akere, 21, has a contract with Plovdiv for another season.
