Russia-based defender Bryan Idowu has pulled out of 2021 AFCON qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho on account of problems with his passport.
The Eagles have therefore called up Enyimba defender Ifeanyi Anaemena as a late replacement.
Idowu last played for the country at last year’s World Cup and was only recently recalled by coach Gernot Rohr.
In the meantime, captain Ahmed Musa, Chidozie Awaziem, Alex Iwobi, Kenneth Omeruo, Semi Ajayi, Ola Aina, Ramon Azeez, Jamilu Collins and Samuel Kalu have hit the Eagles hotel in Uyo.
Nigeria welcome Benin Wednesday by 5pm before they fly out on chartered flight for Lesotho.
