Coach Jose Peseiro has given a first peep of what his Super Eagles starting XI for the AFCON will look like by his first selection for today’s test friendly against a local Dubai club.
Peseiro has picked Ola Aina and Zaidu Sanusi to start as fullbacks, while he has Chidozie Awaziem and Calvin Bassey in central defence.
Frank Onyeka and Joe Aribo will be the midfield combination for today’s game.
Real Sociedad striker Sadiq Umar will also get to start in attack.
The match will kick off by 4pm local time, which is 1pm in Nigeria today.
The Eagles will play a second test match tomorrow same time against fellow AFCON qualifiers Guinea to wrap up their preparations for the tournament in Dubai.
This final test will give a lot more insight to the team Pesiero will start next Sunday against Equatorial Guinea in their opening AFCON Group A match in Abidjan.
