Everton forward Alex Iwobi will be available for selection by the Super Eagles against Lesotho today after a second Covid test returned negative, officials disclosed.
“Iwobi’s further Covid-19 tests have returned negative,” disclosed Super Eagles spokesman Babafemi Raji.
Iwobi missed the 2021 AFCON qualifier in Benin after he was said to have tested positive.
He quit the Eagles training camp on return from Benin, but Gernot Rohr had maintained the test result in Benin was “fake”.
Iwobi will now be expected to start ahead of Henry Onyekuru on the left side of attack.
