Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh praised Bassey and fellow Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi.
“Extremely impressed by the maturity and discipline put up Versus Arsenal, by Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi as they played decisive roles in Fulham’s victory – over a seemingly, mentally tired Arsenal. Encouraging for the AFCON. Una do well !!,” he posted on X
“Calvin Bassey is playing like a prime (Paolo) Maldini.. I’ll be watching you closely at AFCON and expect the same performance,” added @ThePeakSanti also on X.
“Calvin Bassey and Antony Robinson were brilliant in that pocket that Saka and Odegaard like to occupy, and where Arsenal can cause a lot of problems. Excellent in combination and individually. Everyone was class today, but those two stood out for me,” further saluted Luke Sargeant.
