Victor Boniface is most certainly on his way out of Belgian club Union St.Gilloise, but Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen are now involved in a bidding war with several other clubs which could push the striker’s transfer fee to a record 25 Million Euros.
Het Nieuwsblad has reported that Leverkusen are not the only serious suitors for the striker and that could only mean they would need to improve on a 20 Million Euros bid.
It is clear that the striker’s transfer will put in the shade the seven Million Euros Union received for the transfer of Casper Nielsen (Club Brugge) and Denis Undav (Brighton).
Union paid Norwegian club Bodo/Glimt Two Million Euros last summer to sign the former Flying Eagles star.
The 22-year-old Victor Boniface caught the eye last season particularly with his goals and performances in the UEFA Europa League, where he finished as joint top scorer.
He scored 22 goals and made 12 assists in 55 appearances across all competitions last season.
