Benin tonight got their 2025 AFCON qualifying campaign firmly back on track after they fought back from an early setback to defeat Libya 2-1 in Abidjan.
The win thus shot them to second place with three points from two matches, a point behind leaders Super Eagles.
Rwanda are third with two points, while Libya are bottom on a point.
The top two teams in the group will advance to the AFCON to be hosted by Morocco from December 2025.
The Cheetahs of Benin fell behind after just eight minutes via a penalty.
Captain Steve Mounie drew Benin level in the 51st minute, before Junior Olaitan fired the winning goal on the hour from the penalty spot.
Next month, they will play a double header against closest rivals Rwanda.
