Modest Union St.Gilloise made the most profit by a Belgian club in this immediate past transfer window thanks in part to the sale of Victor Boniface to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.
Victor Boniface cost Leverkusen over 20 Million Euros after Union bought him a year ago from Norwegian club Bodo/Glimt for Two Million Euros.
The newly invited Super Eagles striker was one of 14 players who departed the Brussels club this summer.
The team’s outgoing transfers amounted to 35.75 Million Euros, while they spent 12.10 Million Euros to bring in 11 new players.
The profit for the club after these transactions was a tidy 23.65 Million Euros.
Their profit was better than Club Brugge (21.85 Million), Cercle Brugge (12 Million) and Antwerp (11.35 Million).
