Taiwo Awoniyi will do battle for the Premier League Player of the Month for August after his goals for Nottingham Forest at the start of the new campaign.
The striker has scored three goals in the month under review to match a record of scoring in seven straight games.
The 26-year-old striker scored against Arsenal, Sheffield United and Manchester United.
He netted 10 goals last season to ensure Forest stayed up in the Premier League.
He is up against Jarrod Bowen (West Ham), James Maddison (Tottenham), Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford), Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton) and Rodri Hernández Cascante (Manchester City).
