Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem shone on his debut for Major League Soccer (MLS) side FC Cincinnati in a 1-0 win over Queretaro in a League Cup game.
Awaziem, who has transferred to the MLS from Portuguese side Boavista, was solid in defence for his new club as they claimed the three points at stake.
This win ended a three-game losing run by the MLS side.
Former Flying Eagles midfielder Obinna Nwobodo also featured in the game for FC Cincinnati.
