Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini has confirmed that Ademola Lookman has fully recovered from a knee injury and will be on the squad for tonight’s must-win UEFA Champions League playoff clash against Club Brugge.
Lookman, who has scored five goals in the Champions League, injured his knee in training last month and in his absence Atalanta have only won once in six matches.
“Lookman and Nikolas Kolasinac have recovered, they have trained with the team and therefore they’ve been called up and will be available,” Gasperini said.
“But he starts on the bench. If it is necessary, he will have to come in.”
Atalanta have to overturn a shock 2-1 loss at Belgian champions Club Brugge tonight to reach the Round of 16 of the Champions League.
