Premier League side Aston Villa have wasted little time in their quest to sign Kelechi Iheanacho, who will be a free agent next month when his contract at Leicester City runs out.
The 27-year-old striker has been subject to talks from several Premier League clubs and Unai Emery’s side seem to have taken the early initiative to begin talks with his representatives.
According to reports from Transferinsider, Aston Villa transfer chief Monchi (aka Messi of recruitment) held talks with the representatives of the Nigerian star in Greece ahead of the team’s Europa League second leg semifinal versus Olympiacos Thursday.
Iheanacho has underperformed this season, netting just five times in 23 appearances, but his proven class still makes room for transfer speculations from top clubs.
