London-born forward Ademola Lookman has said Atletico Madrid will be looking forward to battling Arsenal for a place in the UEFA Champions League should they eliminate Sporting Lisbon tonight.
Ademola Lookman scored the decisive goal for Atletico to eliminate Barcelona to now await the winners of tonight’s quarterfinal between Arsenal and Sporting Lisbon.
“(Arsenal) another strong team, another top team,” said the Super Eagles star.
“We’re in the semifinals of the Champions League and any team you get will be top, that’s the occasion and we’re looking forward to it.”
Interestingly, ‘Mola’ has been linked with his hometown club before he eventually to Spain in January.
On Tuesday night, Atletico fell 2-1 at home to fellow La Liga club Barcelona, but they had won the away tie 2-0 a week ago to go through 3-2 on aggregate.
