Tolu Arokodare and Yira Sor have both returned from injury layoffs in time for the Belgian championship playoffs with Genk.
Genk coach Wouter Vrancken named both players on today’s matchday squad against Charleroi and has announced they are good to go.
Striker Arokodare was signed in January as a direct replacement for Paul Onuachu.
He got off to a flying start in Belgium only to suffer a knee injury that required surgery.
He has been sidelined for several weeks as a result, leaving Ally Samatta as the only centre forward for Genk.
Arokodare will certainly be available for the playoffs, so too Sor, who also moved to Belgium by the January transfer window.
“We will decide to give them playing minutes (vs Charleroi) or to further prepare them for the play-offs,” disclosed Vrancken.
Genk, who lead the regular season with 74 points going into today’s final round of matches, are favourites to be crowned champions this season.
