Tolu Arokodare is still bullish and talking about his Super Eagles debut many days after so much so he could joke about it with his German coach at Genk.
Ahead of tomorrow’s Belgian championship playoffs against Anderlecht, Arokodare, 24, joked with coach Thorsten Fink, who in his playing days never got to play for Germany.
“It gave me a huge extra boost. It is the dream of every player and it changed my mindset even more,” he told Het Laatste Nieuws about his international debut.
“It also immediately felt like a team of friends.
“I now also have an advantage over our coach. He never played for the national team, he said recently, didn’t he?”
“No, just kidding. He’s really good to me,” he continued.
“I also see that he’s copying my clothing style,” referring to the Nike shoes Fink was wearing.
“He stole them from me.”
