Tolu Arokodare has said his second half hat-trick in a 5-0 Coupe de France victory will lift his confidence as well as that of his club Amiens SC.
Amiens shot past Anzin-Saint-Aubin to the next round of Coupe de France with Arokodare on target in the 51st, 59th and 65th minutes.
The big striker celebrated his feat.
“I have always had confidence, that has never left me even though it is true I have not scored in the last games and now to score three regardless of the opponents, is a great feeling and it’s good for the team,” he said.
“It’s often difficult in the cup games when you play against teams in the lower divisions, sometimes even more difficult than in the league.
“The first half was difficult, we had some chances, but they defended well and their goalkeeper made some big saves.
“But in the second half, we were more patient and we took our chances.” He is loan with option to buy from Latvian club Valmeira FC.
