Tolu Arokodare has signed for Genk in a deadline day transfer as a direct replacement for fellow Nigerian Paul Onuachu just when he was to have a medical at another Belgian club, Anderlecht.
According to HLN, in a most dramatic final day of the winter transfer window, longtime admirers Anderlecht thought they had finally got their target Arokodare from French second division club Amiens.
However, the big striker and his agent then drove straight to Genk, where he signed after Onuachu completed his move to Premier League club Southampton.
Anderlecht are shocked and disappointed.
