Tolu Arokodare has missed out on being named the Player of the Year in Belgium.
The Genk striker, 24, is the leading scorer in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League this season and his club are top of the standings.
It is a form that has attracted the Super Eagles.
However, the Golden Shoe was won by Hans Vanaken from champions Club Brugge.
He finished with 619 votes to beat Cameron Puertas (Union St.Gilloise, 422), and Kasper Dolberg (Anderlecht, 214).
Arokodare finished fourth on 151 votes.
Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu won the prestigious award in 2021.
